The terms that govern your use of yourcommunityservice.com.
Who we are and what these terms cover
yourcommunityservice.com (the “Service”) is operated by Waretech Services LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”), a Kentucky, USA company registered at 1144 Landing Meadow Dr, Henderson, KY 42420. The Service helps people record their community-service contributions — volunteer hours, mileage, and donations — and roll that credit up to the communities and organizations they belong to.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Waretech Services LLC. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them; if you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will remove it. Some organizations set a higher minimum age — where they do, that higher age applies. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms for it.
This is a beta service
The Service is in open beta and is provided free of charge. It is under active development: features may change, and the Service or your data may be interrupted, reset, or lost before our version 1.0 release. Do not rely on the Service as your only record of your contributions — keep your own copy of anything important to you. We do not offer a service-level or uptime commitment during the beta.
Your account
Sign-in is delegated to Waretech SSO. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Please give accurate information and keep it current. Tell us promptly at hello@yourcommunityservice.com if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
Acceptable use
When using the Service, you agree not to:
- break the law, infringe others’ rights, or record false or misleading contributions;
- upload content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, or infringing;
- impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with a community or organization;
- attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorised to use;
- probe, scrape, overload, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure; or
- use the Service to send spam or to collect other members’ data for unrelated purposes.
Community and organization administrators may set additional rules for their groups and may manage membership and content within them.
Your content and data
You keep ownership of the content and contribution records you create (“Your Content”). To operate the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, and display Your Content, and to include your contributions in the hierarchical roll-ups and aggregate totals shown to the communities and organizations you belong to and their parent organizations. This licence exists only to run and improve the Service and ends when you delete the content or your account, except for residual copies in backups and for aggregate or anonymised figures that no longer identify you.
Contributions are recorded only — the Service does not process, hold, or transfer any payments or donations. How we handle your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
Availability and changes to the Service
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms; when we make a material change we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, give notice in the app. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any data will be preserved.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Waretech Services LLC and its owners and staff will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, contributions, goodwill, or profits, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Because the Service is provided free of charge during the beta, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to one hundred US dollars (US$100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, if we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the Service or other members, or if we discontinue the Service. On termination, the sections that by their nature should survive — ownership, licences for aggregate data, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — continue to apply. Data handling after closure follows our Privacy Policy.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in Kentucky have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to these Terms or the Service, to the extent permitted by law.
